Deadheads

Collaborative project with Nills

My Role: Strategy, Art Direction and Visualisation

Background

Peacemode, the band, unveiled their debut album "Deadheads", drawing inspiration from the horticultural practice of deadheading, which involves pruning dead flower heads to encourage new growth. Their music style is a unique blend of soft rock and punk, with a penchant for post-punk influences, while leaving room for artistic interpretation.

Problem

Design the EP cover and three single sleeves, followed by an innovative marketing campaign that generates widespread awareness and excitement.

Solution

Our artistic concept was centred around the theme of suffocation, depicting meatheads who are trapped in societal norms and expectations. We aimed to break free from these confines and embrace a new way of life. By drawing a parallel between meatheads and the meatpacking industry, we aimed to create a thought-provoking and provocative statement that would elicit a reaction from our audience.
